David’s Story

David Windecher grew up in Miami surrounded by poverty and crime. In order to survive the chaos around him, David joined a gang when was very young. Most of his childhood was filled with fear, violence, and not much hope. Today David is a successful defense lawyer in Atlanta and Miami, he runs a nonprofit that helps first time youthful drug offenders get out and stay out of the justice system, and he spends much of his time helping kids whose childhood experiences look like his see that there is hope for a better future.
